I arrived early and met her lovely family, got shown around some local sights to fill the time and then began the class – we made half a dozen dishes with fresh ingredients and spices picked from Rita’s garden! I learnt a lot – and I’m not a very good cook so Rita had her work cut out! We all sat and enjoyed the food afterwards and I felt like I had a very personal experience with a local Goan family. I cannot rate this enough, it wasn’t expensive and Rita wouldn’t accept my offer of paying more. I can’t fault it – I wanted to have a different taste of Goa than every other tourist that goes through and do something different; I highly recommend visiting Rita if you’re visiting Goa and after the same thing : ]
